The board

Dr. Gabriel Clemens is the CEO of Green Gas, E.ON SE, and Managing Director of E.ON Hydrogen GmbH. He represents E.ON on the board of Horisont Energi.

Dr. Clemens has held a number of senior management and board positions with energy companies such as VSE, RWE and Essent in Germany and the Netherlands. He has also a consultancy background from McKinsey & Company. Dr. Clemens holds a PhD degree in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen, Germany.

Dr. Clemens is a Dutch and German citizen residing in Germany.

Leif Chr. Salomonsen is an experienced business executive with a track record of creating value through substantial transformation and turnaround of large public and private international industrial companies. In the Chair, CEO and CRO positions, respectively, he has proven ability to improve corporate value in complex business situations while managing the delicate balancing act between internal and external stakeholders’ interests.

He started his career with BP as a Petroleum Engineer and then worked 19 years with Norsk Hydro, first in its Oil & Gas Division (now listed as Equinor ASA), and then in the Agriculture Division (now listed as Yara ASA). In the latter position he successfully completed a major restructuring and efficiency program for the Nordic and Baltic region.

Leif has served at several boards in Norway and abroad, both as an executive and non-executive director and Chairman.

Ms. Beatriz Malo de Molina is a professional advisor to management teams and board member. Beatriz has served as Senior Vice President and Head of M&A at Orkla ASA and has previously held positions at Kistefos Private Equity and McKinsey & Co in Oslo, after a ten year career in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in London, Frankfurt, New York City and Mexico City.  Ms. Malo de Molina began her career in 1994 within Ernst & Young’s financial advisory department in New York City. 

Ms. Malo de Molina has board experience from publicly listed and privately held companies both in Norway and internationally, including chairmanship positions. She currently chairs the board of Crux Advisors and General Oceans, and is a member of the board and chair of the audit and risk committee of Nel Hydrogen

Beatriz graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., attended the Haupt- und Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna and holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Law Faculty at UiO in Oslo.

Rob Stevens has a MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology. He started his career at Yara in product and technology development for fertilisers. During his time in Yara he has held several management positions related to ammonia production and use (Netherlands, Qatar, Norway, Australia). He brought forward ammonia energy as a General Manager at Yara Pilbara, Western Australia. He executed the clean ammonia energy agenda as VP Technology Scouting and VP Ammonia Energy and Shipping Fuel at Yara International (Corporate Innovation, Climate Neutrality), ultimately contributing to what is now Yara Clean Ammonia. As Saga Pure VP Ammonia Opportunities, he evaluated investments into the clean energy and circular carbon space.

Rob Stevens is elected President of the Ammonia Energy Association and Director of the Clean Ammonia Innovation program at the Dutch Institute of Sustainable Process Technology.

Rolf Magne Larsen was for many years head of exploration at Statoil (now Equinor). Heading the company’s country risk management and social responsibility unit, he led the work of producing Statoil’s first Sustainability Report making the company a global front runner within the area.

Following retirement from Statoil, Rolf Magne Larsen has been advising energy companies through hos own company. Today he holds board positions at Wellguard and Drem Investment.

Mr. Larsen is a Norwegian citizen residing in Norway.
