Horisont Energi is a Norwegian clean energy company with international ambitions. We work to contribute to the necessary energy transition the world needs, building end-to-end CCS value chains and a global scale clean ammonia plant.

With strong ambitions and a dedicated team we continue on our mission towards the net zero future. The need for urgency is larger than ever before in tackling the ongoing climate crisis.   • Bjørgulf Haukelidsæter Eidesen

    Chief Executive Officer and Founder

    Coming from a long career in the upstream energy business, Bjørgulf holds a vide set of technical, commercial and management experiences. Combined with his pioneering and innovative mindset, a passion for business development and a sense of urgency to tackle the ongoing climate crisis, Bjørgulf founded Horisont Energi in 2019 and has been the company’s CEO since. In the management team and as a CO-CEO, Bjørgulf will focus his work on the company’s business development and investor relations.

  • Leiv Kallestad

    Chief Executive Officer

    Leiv is an experienced business executive who has previously worked on commercialisation and scale-up of energy related start-ups. Having a long-range experience from the petroleum business, Leiv joined the Horisont Energi team to be a part of the energy transition and to use his extensive business development competencies to further strengthen the company. With solid experience from financing and M&A’s, and previously holding the position as CFO in the company, Leiv will mainly focus his time on positioning Horisont Energi for further growth with robust operations internally as a CO-CEO.

  • Ståle Brattebø

    Chief Operational Officer/Chief Technology Officer

    Having a solid background from technical operations, especially with over 30 years of subsea experience, Ståle is a key asset to the company as our CTO. Combined with his experience from management and executive boards, Ståle is an experienced business developer whose main focus is to secure robust day to day operations in the company, building a clean energy company for the future.

  • Annette Kvilhaugsvik

    Chief Commercial Officer

    With over 30 years of commercial experience from the energy business and a passion for accelerating the energy transition, Annette holds a key competence in the management team leading our commercial activities. Annette has a strong commercial and analytic skill set, giving the company the needed insight in the development of both the clean ammonia- and carbon market.

  • Rune Halseid

    Chief Project Officer, Ammonia

    Rune is an experienced chemists and engineer and holds a PhD in Electrochemistry from NTNU. With his expertise in the area, Rune is the company’s CPO Ammonia, managing the business development of the Horisont Energi’s ammonia and infrastructure projects. Rune has a wide range of technical- and project experience, as well as process- and system engineering. With Rune’s expert competencies, Horisont Energi is at the forefront of developing a clean ammonia industry in Norway.

  • Morten Sola

    Chief Project Officer, Carbon Storage

    As an experienced geophysicist and with extensive knowledge of the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Morten is Horisont Energy’s CPO of CO2 storage. Morten has long experience from working in the petroleum business and has worked in several management positions. With a dedication to build a commercial CCS industry in Norway, Morten is set on contributing to CO2 reductions on large scale. His key role in the management team is managing our offshore CO2 storage projects and operations.

  • Malene Sandøy

    CSO

    With a Phd in risk management and a MSc in offshore safety, combined with over 25 years of experience, we are in the best of hands with Malene as our Chief HSSE Officer. Malene has experience from various management roles and is responsible for integrating sustainability in our everyday work and operations. With Malene in the management team and sustainability at the core of our work, we are taking the required measurements to be a energy company for the future.
